The final eight of French’s leaders cup concluded on Sunday night in Eurodisney with Le Mans getting the trophy by beating defending champions Nanterre (64-59). J.P.Batista was the MVP of the game after scoring 19 points in a game decided in the free throws line.

In Saturday’s semifinals Le Mans beat Strasbourg (89-74), with the two teams being tied on top of the league’s standings with a 13-6 record, while Nanterre beat Paris Levallois (80-73). On Friday’s quarterfinals the scores were the following: Strasbourg – Nancy 79-71, Le Mans – Limoges 98-91 (OT), Paris Levallois – Orleans 89-64, Nanterre – Dijon 86-80. It has to be noted that there is also a national cup in France with the traditional format which includes teams from the lowest divisions, while the top eight teams in the standings of ProA are competing for the leaders cup.
