The former team of coach Ergin Ataman showed no mercy on him in the first game between them for the TBL play offs. Besiktas got the 72-70 road win over Galatasaray and the home court advantage.
Galatasaray thanks to Ender Arslan cut the lead of Besiktas to one point (71-70) with 8 seconds to go, but the Turkish guard missed his second free throw attempt and Besiktas prevailed with Doron Perkins making also 1/2 free throws in the last second of the game.
In the first game of the night, Banvit survived against Tofas (82-78) thanks to the big game of regular season MVP Sammy Mejia (photo). The best player of Banvit had a big night with 27 points and 9 rebounds.
