The Italian defending champions, Siena, reacted after losing the first quarterfinal game and tied the series with Reggio Emilia at 1-1. On the contrary, Roma beat Cantu on the road for the second time and has a 2-0 lead despite not having the home court advantage.

Eric Green had 20 points in the 88-84 win of Siena, while Trevor Mbakwe with a double double (15 p., 11 r.) led Roma to a 64-62 win which was decided by a made shot by Quinton Hosley.
