In a game which was all about defense, Galatasaray beat on the road top seeded Banvit (67-57) and got the break in the first semifinal game between the two teams for TBL. The hosts scored just 8 points in the last quarter and that made all the difference.
Carlos Arroyo and Sinan Guler with 13 points each were the leaders of balanced offensive effort by Galata, while Banvit had 2/18 three points shots and that number was more than important.
