Playing at home, EA7 Milano had the chance to finish the semifinal series against Legabasket. However, Sassari got the 76-73 win, cut the lead of the hosts to 3-2 wins and lived to fight an other day.
Sassari got a 68-65 lead three minutes before the end of the game thanks to a three pointer by Travis Diener and managed to keep it until the end. His cousin, Drake Diener, was the top scorer of the game with 16 points.
