The favorite finally got the last ticket to Euroleague. Unics Kazan after an impressive second half got the 88-79 win over ASVEL and prevailed in the qualifying round. James White with 21 points was the star of the night for the winners.
Despite a 53-39 half time lead for ASVEL, Unics answered with a partial score 23-4 in the last six minutes of the third period which ended tied at 64. Defense was once again the key, Unics let just four points in the next five minutes (78-68). The French team made it a five points game (80-75) but couldn’t get any closer. David Andersen did his best for ASVEL with 24 points, however they were not enough.
