In what was an offensive clinic, Real Madrid beat 99-78 Barcelona and won the Liga Endesa Supercopa, starting the new season with a bang. Sergio Llull with 21 points was the MVP of the game, Giannis Bourousis added 17 points, while Barca was out of synch.

Ante Tomic had 17 points, however he was not a factor in the game. Real got a 29-14 lead after the first quarter and the best Barcelona could do was cut it to four points (40-36) in the second quarter. The first half ended with a 10 points lead for Madrid (49-39) and the Catalans couldn’t get back into the game.

In the three point contest that proceeded the game, 17 years old American Josh Ruggles got the title for the second straight season by beating in the final for the second consecutive year Real Madrid‘s sharp shooter Jaycee Carroll.
