Playing against newcomer in Euroleague Neptunas, the new version of Laboral Kutxa got the easy 88-69 win and started the season with a smile. Davis Bertans with 20 points and Thomas Heurtel with a double double (13 p., 10 as.) were the best of the winners, who got the lead from the first quarter (20-15) and increased it steadily throughout the game.
Donatas Zavackas with 17 points tried his best for the Lithuanians who were always trailing with the exception of a 7-6 lead in the fourth minute of the game. Coach Marco Crespi’s team did what it has to do and Neptunas got a rude welcome to the top European competition.
