In one of the hardest gyms to play in Europe, Limoges managed to tie the score at 48 in the 26th minute. The rest of the game, however, belonged to the European champions, Maccabi Tel Aviv which got in the end the easy 92-76 win.
During the last four minutes of the third quarter the Israelis scored 21 points, got a 69-55 lead over the French champions and cruised for the rest of the game. Jeremy Pargo (20 p., 9 as.) and Marquez Haynes (15 p., 5 as.) were responsible for that explosion, while Devin Smith once more had a double double (13 p., 12 r.).
This game marked also the return of Sofoklis Shortsanitis to action who had 11 points in 11 minutes of action, while Alex Tyus missed it due to his ankle injury. Andrien Moerman had a double double for the guests and scored when it mattered, but Limoges just couldn’t keep up with the champs.
