The second gameday of Turkish TBL ended with a huge upset. Fenerbahce/ Ulker was handed before the game the trophy (photo) for last season’s championship title and then lost at home to Gaziantep (70-66) which has also beaten Anadolu Efes one week ago and has a perfect 2-0 record.
The winners, coached by Jure Zdvoc, got 51 points by the duo of Cory Higgins and Paul Harris. Earl Calloway sealed the final result with two free throws. Oguz Savas with 21 points and Nemanja Bjelica with 14 points and 11 rebounds tried their best for the hosts. It was a result that overshadowed the defeat of Galatasaray and Nolan Smith’s towel incident.
