A game which was supposed to be a real fight, turned out to be rather easy affair for Real Madrid that got an impressive 83-65 win over Panathinaikos and Fenerbahce/ Ulker prevailed on the road over EA7 Milano (82-71) also without pressure in the end.

Playing with Pappas, Jankovic and Mavrokefalidis, Panathinaikos had a smaller rotation than usual and Real Madrid controlled the game and the tempo from the start. For one more game, the defensive improvement of the Spaniards was evident, the Greeks made 22 turnovers, had a mediocre shooting night, the threes didn’t go in – Diamantidis had 0/6 – and couldn’t stay in the game. Felipe Reyes almost had one more double double (18 p., 9 r.) and once again led the charge of Real.

In Milan the situation was a bit different. Fenerbahce for most of the game was leading, in the last quarter even by 10 points, but the hosts cut this lead to four points (74-70) with 3,5 minutes left. The answer by Fenerbache was a 6-0 run (80-70) and despite an off night by Andrew Goudelock the Turkish team got the road win. Five players of the winners scored in double digits, Goudelock was not among them and the most impressive number of the night was the 8 assists dished by Bogdan Bogdanovic. EA7 Milan’s Marshon Brooks had a career best in Euroleague with 24 points.
