Playing without its natural leader, Carlos Arroyo, Galatasaray is a lesser team and Zalgiris took advantage of it. The Lithuanians got the 72-59 win by getting a 23-8 lead in the first quarter and keeping their distance until the end.

Galatasaray tried to get back to the game, but couldn’t do something better than cut Zalgiris lead to nine points (62-53) with six minutes to go. Paulius Jankunas with 12 points and 9 rebounds was the leader of a team effort for the winners. Sinan Guler (16 p., 7 r.) did his best to help Galatasaray, but it wasn’t enough.
