The season started officially for CSKA Moscow in Vladivostok, but the gym didn’t make a difference. The “army team” dominated even as guest, beating Spartak Primorje 82-51 with Milos Teodosic scoring 16 points and dishing 5 assist. It was an easy game for CSKA which held Spartak in just four points in the second quarter.

The unexpected result of the 1st gameday in Russian PBL came from Nizhniy Novgorod which beat Unics Kazan 86-73. Former NBA player from Slovenia, Primoz Brezec had 16 points for the winners, while Unics is still strangling after losing the chance to win the last open ticket for Euroleague in last week’s qualifying round. Here are the rest of 1st day‘s results: Enisey – Spartak 64-70, Khimki – Triumph 76-72, Lokomotiv – Krasnye Krylia 74-72.
