By now, everyone in Chicago should know that the Bulls struck gold when they picked Nikola Mirotic in the draft. That was proved once again on Wednesday night, when Real Madrid won at Valladolid 100-75 in a match for the second game day of the Spanish league, with Mirotic’s performance overshadowing everyone else, including former NBAer Rudy Fernandez. The forward of Real had 26 points, while shooting 10/11 from the floor, grabbed 10 rebounds and had a ranking of 46 points, the best performance even in Spanish Liga Endesa by a 21 years old player. It will be interesting to see what Mirotic can do against Memphis (6/10) and Toronto (8/10) in Real’s Euroleague American tour games.
In Italy, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano lost at Bologna 67-64, also on Wednesday night. It was a match for the second gameday of Legabasket that a team with the roster of Milan should have won, but that didn’t happen. Milan plays against the Boston Celtics this Sunday (7/10) in the NBA Europe live tour.
