Sergio Rodriguez helped Milano extend its undefeated record in Italy

The 8th round of the Italian League saw four games being suspended due to health concerns, though Olimpia Milano has returned to action and continues its reign in the league standings.

Dinamo Sassari – Happy Casa Brindisi 87-100

Brindisi continued with an amazing run as they’ve won eight straight games in all competitions. D’Angelo Harrison led them past Sassari with 24 points followed by James Bell with 17 points and ten boards. Darius Thompson also scored 17.

For Sassari, Miro Bilan banked in 29 points in addition to Stefano Gentile’s 16.

Cantu – Olimpia Milano 71-89

Milano continues its undefeated streak in Italy. Sergio Rodriguez was the man of the game with 24 points for the visitors, Kyle Hines followed with 14 points and 7 boards, Shavon Shields tapped 13 points and Zach LeDay added a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Jaime Smith led Cantu with 18 points, Jaaziel Dante Johnson had 12 points and three rebounds.

Varese – Virtus Roma 98-88

Veteran Luis Scola called the shots for Varese with a big double-double of 19 points and 15 boards, as Anthony Morse and Toney Douglas shared 18 points each. Arturs Strautins had 15 points and 7 boards and Michel Ruzzier posted 10 points.

Tommaso Baldasso posted a game-high with 16 points, Luca Campogrande followed with 25 points and Anthony Beane tapped 16 for visiting Virtus.

Brescia – Trento 73-80

Kelvin Martin paced Trento to the win with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, Gary Browne and Vitor Sanders both added 16 points.

Christian Burns tapped 18 points for Brescia, T.J. Cline had 13 points and 7 rebounds and Dusan Ristic tapped 10 points.
