D’Angelo Harrison was too much for Olimpia Milano’s defense as he led Brindisi to a road win and the first spot in the Italian Leauge standings

Olimpia Milano has been keeping a perfect record in the Italian League this season, however, Happy Casa Brindisi has been having a great season as well and they succeeded in handing Milano its first loss. Both squads now have 9-1 records and Brindisi is currently holding the first spot.

D’Angelo Harrison was the main ‘culprit’ with 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the winning side. He proved to be unstoppable for the opposing defense which fouled him 11 times.

Darius Thompson and Derek Willis added 16 points each. For Milano, Luigi Datome scored 16 followed by Zach LeDay and Shavon Shields with 14 points each. LeDay also grabbed nine boards while Shields dished eight assists.

Julian Gamble logged 18 points and 11 rebounds for Virtus Bologna which reached its sixth win of the season, as did Trento led by JaCorey Williams with 25 points.

Reggio Emilia got past Varese on the road thanks to a big 28-point performance by Brandon Taylor.
