Olimpia Milano snapped back from last week’s defeat in Italy and remains on top of the standings with an emphatic win over Sassari

Amid a new COVID-19 spike, Olimpia Milano rose to the occasion and defeated Sassari 102-86 at home and bounced back in the LegaBasket standings (10-1).

Gigi Datome led all Milano scorers with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, Michael Roll posted 22 points and 2 rebounds and Zach LeDay added up to the efforts with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jason Burnell paced Sassari (5-5) with 23 points and 6 rebounds.

Virtus Bologna (7-4) enjoyed a comfortable 98-72 victory on the road against Treviso (5-6), as Milos Teodosic posted 20 points along with 9 assists and 4 rebounds. Veteran David Logan had 19 points for Treviso.

Reyer Venezia (5-5) snapped back from its losing streak and defeated Varese (3-8) 86-77. Stefano Tonut had 21 points and 8 rebounds in the victory, while on the other end of the court, Anthony Beane posted 18 points for Varese.
