Sergio Rodriguez scored 22 points and dished out nine assists while four of his teammates scored in double figures as Olimpia Milano crushed Reyer Venezia 96 – 65 to grab a ticket to the Italian Cup Final.
Zach LeDay (16 points), Kyle Hines (14 points, 10 rebounds), Gigi Datome (13 points) and Shavon Shields (12 points) completed Milano‘s winning equation. The “Red Shoes” were trailing by double figures in the first period but proceeded to balance the game quickly, get a lead (42-38) at halftime and then impose their absolute dominance to turn the match into a blowout.
Mitchell Watt had 16 points plus six rebounds and Stefano Tonut scored 14 points for Venezia that had a fine start to get a 8 – 20 early advantage but was then overwhelmed by Milano, especially in the second half.
