Olimpia Milano hit an Italian League club record 21 3-pointers (out of 31 attempts) in the 98 – 72 rout over Fortitudo Bologna. Kevin Punter scored the lot from beyond the arc, finishing with 6-7 3-pointers and 25 points overall.

Michael Roll (16 points on 4-4 3-pointers), Vladimir Micov (14 points and 2-3 triples) and Sergio Rodriguez (11 points on 3-3 threes plus seven assists) also contributed to this 3-point festival and the win that improved Milano‘s record to a league-best 16-2. Ettore Messina’s players finished the game with 29 assists and dominated despite the absences of Kyle Hines, Malcolm Delaney and Zach LeDay.

Dario Hunt had 17 points, Adrian Banks 13 and Wesley Saunders 10 for Fortitudo that couldn’t hold back their opponents’ firepower. Their team is now 7 -11 and one win below the playoffs zone.

Happy Casa Brindisi and Dinamo Sassari are sharing second place in the standings. Brindisi downed Trieste thanks to a double-double by Derek Willis (15 points, 10 rebounds) while Sassari outplayed Venezia behind 20 points by Filip Kruslin.
