Sergio Rodriguez was on fire from deep as he led Olimpia Milano to a road win against Germani Brescia in the Italian League

In a high-scoring Italian League duel, Olimpia Milano took the 99-92 road win against Germani Brescia and it was thanks to a big performance coming from Sergio Rodriguez.

Rodriguez banked in 29 points on 10-12 shooting including 6-8 from the three-point territory and he did it all in just 20 minutes he spent on the floor.

Shavon Shields added 15 in addition to Zach LeDay and Jeff Brooks’ 14 points each. Brooks also grabbed eight rebounds. For Brescia, Darral Willis scored 17 and Kenny Chery 16 points.

Meanwhile, Luis Scola put on a vintage performance of his own with 20 points and six rebounds in Varese’s win over Pesaro.

In a clash near the top of the standings, Happy Casa Brindisi took down Virtus Bologna and is now holding second place with a 15-5 record. Milano is at the top with 17-3 while Virtus is third with 14-7.
