Olimpia Milano was the first team on the court in the Italian League playoffs and they got the home win over Trento at the start

The Italian LegaBasket playoffs tipped off with Olimpia Milano displaying a convincing performance against Trento, logging an 88-62 home win in Game 1.

Shavon Shields led the way with 16 points while Kevin Punter followed with 13 and Kyle Hines with 12 points. Hines also added seven rebounds and four assists.

On the opposing side, Gary Browne scored 16 in addition to JaCorey Williams’ 12 and Jeremy Morgan’s ten points.

Meanwhile, Reyer Venezia went to overtime against Dinamo Sassari and prevailed 92-91, after Austin Daye setting the final score with two free throws.

Daye finished with 12 points while Jeremy Chappell scored 19 and Julyan Stone 15 points, as did Andrea Di Nicolao. For Sassari, Miro Bilan had 19 and Eimantas Bendzius 15 points. Bilan also grabbed 11 boards.
