A big three by Stefano Tonut completed a comeback from 17 points down and Umana Reyer Venezia got the 93-91 win over Dinamo Sassari in Game 5 of the first round of the Italian Legabasket Serie A playoffs.

The winners will face Olimpia Milano in the semifinals and managed to edged Sassari which had a 17-point lead (77-60) just before the end of the third quarter. With two minutes left in the game, Venezia tied the score at 87 after a three by Andrea De Nicolao.

The guests once again took thanks to Miro Bilan and Eimantas Bendzius (91-87) but the answer was a crucial shot by Jeremy Chappell who finished the game with just four points and the bomb by Tonut which gave Venezia a 92-91 lead with just two seconds remaining. Austin Day with one more free throw sealed the deal on the way to 20 points, while Tonut scored 15 in total.

Croatian big man Miro Bilan with 26 points and 10/14 FG had an amazing game, however, it was not enough for Sassari.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Happy Casa Brindisi are the second semifinal couple.
