The Italian SuperCup quarterfinals were played out with Olimpia Milano, Virtus Bologna, Reyer Venezia and Happy Casa Brindisi advancing to the semis.

Milano was the most dominant on the floor as the squad dismantled Treviso 108-60, led by Davide Alviti who scored 18 points. Dinos Mitoglou logged a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Shavon Shields scored 14 and Nicolo Melli ten points.

Venezia was almost as convincing in the 83-51 win against VL Pesaro thanks to Victor Sanders’ 20 points and Austin Daye’s ten with the defensive effort of the team being the key, not allowing any opposing player to score in double-digits.

Nick Perkins banked in 21 points for Brindisi in order to help the team seal a 76-66 win against Dinamo Sassari and Eimantas Bendzius who scored 17.

To close the night, Virtus Bologna stepped up in the final minutes to log a 74-66 victory over Tortona. Kevin Hervey scored 18 in addition to Amedeo Tessitori’s 14 and Kyle Weems‘ 11 points. Mike Daum had 19 for the losing squad.

It should also be noted that, unfortunately, Ekpe Udoh suffered an injury seemingly to the knee after a fall and was taken off the floor on a stretcher. He spent six minutes on the court during which he scored four points.
