Olimpia Milano remains perfect in the Italian LegaBasket after a comeback win over Brindisi

Olimpia Milano made short work of Happy Casa Brindisi with a 79-53 victory on the road to remain undefeated in the Italian LegaBasket after 10 rounds.

Devon Hall led all scorers of the winners with 16 points and 5 rebounds, while Malcolm Delaney posted 13 points. Newcomer Ben Bentil tapped 10 points and 7 rebounds for Milano in 16 minutes on the court to help the team protect its unbeaten streak.

Milan bounced back from a 21-9 deficit in the first quarter to keep Brindisi at just 6 points in the second and rallied in the fourth quarter to escape from Brindisi with the victory.

Jeremy Chappell added 13 points for Brindisi, while Nathan Adrian and Raphael Gaspardo followed with 9 points apiece.

Virtus Bologna struggled at home against Sassari but managed to grab a 102-100 victory in overtime to improve to an 8-2 record in the standings.

Kyle Weems posted 19 points to lead Sergio Scariolo’s squad, Marco Belinelli had 19 while Mouhammadou Jaiteh and Milos Teodosic shared 15 points apiece.

Eimantas Bendzius had a game-high with 25 points, though his efforts weren’t enough to help Sassari escape with the victory in the extra five-minute period.
