After yesterday’s shocking loss for EA7 Emporio Armani Milano against Brescia, the other EuroLeague side Virtus Bologna managed to advance to the semifinals of the Italian Cup.
Sergio Scariolo’s team suffered in the first quarter but found a way to overcome Reyer Venezia 82-68. The 36-year-old Marco Belinelli had an amazing night with 21 points and 6/7 from three.
Tornike Shengelia helped the black-and-white side with 19 points and 5 rebounds, while on the losing team, Jordan Parks had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Virtus Bologna will now face Derthona, which beat Trento 74-70 in the other quarterfinal of the night, especially thanks to Semaj Christon’s 19 points. On the other side of the Italian Cup’s board, Brescia and Pesaro will fight for a spot in the final.
