EA7 Emporio Armani Milan grabbed a dominant 98-79 win in Legabasket over Happy Casa Brindisi and improved to a 17-4 score in the standings, but Shavon Shields’ injury gave another headache to Ettore Messina.

The American-Danish sharpshooter sprained his ankle with six minutes left in the first quarter, leaving the court limping. He didn’t return.

Shields returned to the court more than four months after his last injury this week.

Milan still won dominantly without him, as Billy Beron led the way with 21 points. Brandon Davies, Stefano Tonut, and Nicolo Melii added 14 points each, Johannes Voigtmann scored 12, and Shabazz Napier scored 10 points for the winning side.

For Brindisi, Nick Perkins scored 15, Andrea Mezzanotte 13 points, D’Angelo Harrison added 12, and Jason Burnell 11 points.

Virtus cruised past Venice, with Mannion dominating

Virtus Segafredo Bologna had no problems on the road against Reyer Venice. Dominating from the tipoff, Sergio Scariolo’s team won 83-68.

Niccolo Mannion dominated with 27 points and five assists, while Mam Jaiteh added 14 points with nine rebounds.

Milos Teodosic finished the game with 11 points and four assists, while Marco Belinelli added 10 for the winning side.
