Breein Tyree and Vasilis Charalampopoulos with two big threes “killed” Milan, giving to Sassari an important win

In their first game after the news for the latest injury of Nikola Mirotic, Milan was defeated by Sassari 89-83 in a game for the 10th round of the Italian Lega Basekt Serie A.

Breein Tyree (photo) with 24 points and Vassilis Charalampopoulos with 13 were the top scorers of the winning side and with the game of the line made back-to-back threes that decided the outcome.

Stefano Gentile also made a big three a bit earlier to give to Sassari a 83-80 lead, however Milan behind a huge effort by Shavon Shields who had in total 31 points, managed to come back after trailing by 14.

To be exact, after three bad quarter, Milan thanks to Shields managed to tied the score at 74 with a 14-4 partial score, but couldn’t get the lead.

Johannes Voightmann with 14 points and Diego Flaccadori with 13 also played a big role in the comeback, however the day belonged to Sassari which now has a 4-6 record and drooped Milan to 5-5 and a tie for the 8th spot in the league standings.
