David Logan has decided to hang up his sneakers after playing for 15 different clubs in European basketball since 2005.
At 41 years of age, the former guard of Prokom, Baskonia, Panathinaikos, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Dinamo Sassari in EuroLeague, as well as Turow, Alba Berlin, and Rytas in EuroCup, announced his retirement.
“At this point in my career, I think I have done everything I can possibly do in the game of basketball. I want to thank my wife and kids for their support over the years. I want to thank my agent and every team I have been a part of over the years. Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else. I’m retiring from the game I love,” Logan wrote.
He was the Division II Player of the Year in 2005 playing for Indianapolis and went on to have a great international career, playing in Israel, Greece, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Lithuania, and France.
Logan won the Italian and French Cups, and the Israeli Supercup over his career, claiming many individual accolades such as the Lithuanian league’s top scorer in 2017 and the Polish League MVP in 2008, Italian and French Cup MVPs.
His last club was Scafati in Italy, where he signed in October 2022 and averaged 11.4 points in 18 Legabasket appearances this season.
