In Virtus Bologna’s difficult season, there’s a bright and positive news: time may pass, but Tornike Shengelia’s undeniable impact remains. He proved it once again in Treviso for the LBA Round 25.

The Georgian big man had a dominant double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 7/9 from two, 1/1 from beyond the arc, and 4/4 at the line to drag Dusko Ivanovic’s team to the 80-74 victory on the road.

Thanks to this success, they reached Trapani and Brescia on top of the LBA standings with a solid 18-7 record.

Shengelia wasn’t the only protagonist of Virtus’ road victory, as Daniel Hackett had a vintage performance of 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Matt Morgan (15 points), Ante Zizic (13 points and 8 rebounds), and Will Clyburn (10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists) contributed as well.

The home side, which stays in 11th position at a 9-16 record, had 15 points apiece from Ky Bowman and Jordan Caroline, but they weren’t enough.
