Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro officially announced that the process for relocating Vanoli Basket Cremona from Cremona to Rome has been initiated.

During an extraordinary Federal Council meeting held via web conference, the Italian federation examined the documentation submitted by Guerino Vanoli Basket Srl regarding the club’s request to move its headquarters to the Italian capital.

The Federal Council stated that the request meets the necessary requirements, although final approval remains subject to the club fulfilling all obligations and deadlines established in the licensing regulations for participation in the 2026/27 Italian Serie A season.

The decision represents the first official step toward a potential relocation of Vanoli from Cremona to Rome, a move that could significantly reshape the Italian basketball landscape.
