Game 2 of the Italian league playoffs wasn’t easy for Sidigas Avellino and Reyer Venezia but they managed to overcome Reggio Emilia and Pistoia respectively, through some rock-solid defense.

With David Logan scoring 21 points and Kyrylo Fesenko adding 13 plus 10 rebounds, Sidigas Avellino downed Reggio Emilia 75 – 67 at home and made the 2 – 0 in the series.

Reggio Emilia had stunned its opponents in the first half, being up 39 – 30 at halftime thanks to Pietro Aradori (18 points), Julian Wright (11 points) and Achille Polonara (10 points).

Yet the hosts rallied to balance the game in the third after a 21 – 14 partial score and dominated the last period 24 – 14 to win the match.

Meanwhile in Venice, local Reyer Venezia defeated 72 – 68 to gain the 2 – 0 advantage behind 18 points by Hrove Peric and 13 courtesy of Stefano Tonut.

Terran Petteway had 14 points and Andrea Crosariol 13 along with 11 boards for Pistoia.
