Taking it exactly from where they left it in the semifinals, Aquila Trento stormed into the title series with a road victory over Reyer Venezia.

The break between Italian League semifinals and the finals didn’t steal any of the red hot momentum of Aquila Trento.

In Game 1 of the best-of-seven- title series, coach Buscaglia’s players made short work of Reyer Venezia 83 – 74 beginning the series in an impressive manner, not only claiming victory but also looting the home court advantage from their opponents.

Shavon Shields scored 18, Dominique Sutton added 16 and 7 rebounds, Dustin Hogue 16 points and Joao Gomes 15 points.

This quartet led Trento to a win that arrived more easily than what the final score tells since they led 16-24 at the end of the first period and 28 – 47 at halftime.

It was a deficit that proved to be way too much for Venezia. Hrvoje Peric dropped 19 points and Marquez Haynes notched 13 points, five assists plus 4 rebounds but their team needed a lot more to completely comeback and not simply make it a single digit game at the end.
