Olimpia Milano finished Round 6 in Italian League with a big win over Virtus Bologna (72 – 64) in the return of Alessandro Gentile.
A great offensive second quarter performed by the hosts allowed them a small lead at the half (39 – 35). The game was close from wire to wire, with both teams struggling to score. At the end, it was decided by details.
Arturas Gudaitis got a double-double for the winners with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Andrew Goudelock and Jordan Theodore contributed with 16 and 14 respectively. Former Milano‘s Alessandro Gentile scored 20 points and also grabbed 7 rebounds.
Early on the day, Brescia triumphed over winless Reggio Emilia at home to continue as the only undefeated in the competition. Venezia’s first lost game of the season came at home against Torino. Also, Brindisi got its first win of the season with a win against Avellino after an overtime.
