Second half was enough for Olimpia Milano against Brindisi

Armani was trailing at the break but they had an incredible reaction in the second half.

AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano got the win over Brindisi on the road 84 – 72 thanks to a great third quarter. The hosts dominated almost the entire first half but Simone Pianigiani’s team had a strong second period.

Vladimir Micov paced the winners in the second half and he finished with 17 points, 7 boards and 4 assists. Andrew Goudelock added 14 points. Blaz Mesicek had 17 points for Brindisi.

Milan reduced the deficit before the break and they were just two points behind when they headed locker rooms (40 – 42). The visiting side showed a defensive clinic during the third quarter to take a double-digit difference (60 – 49). Brindisi tried to make it a competitive game again but Milan managed the lead.

With this win, Armani jumped to a 14-5 record while Brindisi falls to 6-13.

Also, early today Dinamo Sassari defeated Virtus Bologna in spite of Alessandro Gentile’s 19 points.
