According to ‘Tuttosport,’ Fiat Turin wants to sign Spain’s successful coach for the head coach position. The binding contract, however, he has with Spain’s national team may be a problem to his possible move to the north of Italy.

Turin currently sits at the 11th spot in the standings with a 12-16 record and missed the playoffs. The ownership wants to make a change that could take the team to another level.

The last time Sergio Scariolo was on an Italian’s team bench was in 2013 (2011-2013), where he coached Olimpia Milan. In the beginning of his career and the year 1990, Scariolo had won the Italian League title with Scabolini Pesaro.
