Olimpia Milano made a loud entrance in the Italian Playoffs.

With five players scoring in double figures, Olimpia Milano blew out Cantu 105 – 73 in Game 1 of the Italian League playoffs.

Coach Simone Pianigiani’s players were superior from start to finish, entering the game with an aggressive attitude (33-18 at the end of the first period) that left their opponents with little room to fight back.

Drew Goudelock scored a team-high 17 points, Andrea Cinciarini had 15 points plus six assists, Curtis Jerrells added 14 points and Mindaugas Kuzminskas with Vladimir Micov 12 apiece.

Jaime Smith dropped 17 points and Randy Culpepper 16 for Cantu.

In the other quarterfinal held today, Brescia beat Varese behind 21 points by Marcus Landry. Stan Okoye had 18 points and eight rebounds for Varese.
