In Game 1 of the Italian League Finals, Olimpia Milano easily got past Energia Trento 98-85.

The hosts were up throughout the game and after twenty minutes were leading by 13 points (47-34). In the second half, Milan managed to keep this double-digit lead and even increase it to 15+ points (77-60). Shields and Trento sparked a late run and cut the deficit nine points (82-73), but it was too late for a comeback.

Olimpia’s ‘big 3’ of Andrew Goudelock, Vladimir Micov and Kaleb Tarczewski had a great night. Goudelock scored a team-high 26 points with six three-pointers (6/10 3FG), while Micov orchestrated the offense with 16 points and five assists. Tarczewski also added a near double-double of 14 points and nine rebounds.

For Trento, Shavon Shields had an incredible game, shooting lights out from the field. He finished with a game-high 31 points (10/15 2FG) (2/4 3FG), trying to keep his team in the game. Unfortunately, no other teammate of his managed to score more than 11 points.
