Milano won, Norris Cole was impressive, but in the end, Larry Brown stole the show in Italy this weekend.

Two games were decided by a point, Norris Cole had a 21 points and 13 assists debut for Avellino,  however, Larry Brown stole the show with his announcement of leaving Italy – at least temporarily – for medical reasons.

It’s quite unclear when and if Brown will return. Meanwhile, Mike James and the defending champs AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano started their season with a win and in the last game of the night, Virtus Bologna beat Trieste on the road thanks to 29 points by Kevin Punter.
