Mario Chalmers has landed for Virtus Bologna. The former two-time NBA champion was present in the Italian League game of his new team against Reyer Venezia but the latter “spoiled” his first appearance in front of the Bologna crowd.
With Marquez Haynes scoring 17 points and grabbing five rebounds, Venezia won 77 – 76 and improved its league record to 14 – 6. Bologna dropped to 10 – 10.
Chalmers entered the gym with a full Bologna outfit and was greeted with quite the enthusiasm by fans of the team who also proceeded to sing his name.
