Venezia turns the tables against Milano with late surge

Venezia didn’t give up after a terrible start and managed to make two big comebacks with the late one giving them the road win over Olimpia Milano in the Italian League.

Umana Reyer Venezia showed strong character in the clash with Olimpia Milano as they recovered from an early 17-point deficit (22-5) and made a 10-0 run in the last two minutes of the game grabbing a narrow 87-86 road win on Day 22 of Italian League.

Mitchell Watt led the winning side with 22 points while Stefano Tonut followed with 20 in addition to Michael Bramos’ 12 points.

For Milano, Kaleb Tarczewski scored 15 while Nemanja Nedovic helped with 14 points.

Venezia improved to 16-6 with this win and stayed at the second spot behind Milano which now holds an 18-4 record with eight Gamedays remaining.
