Cantu was ahead most of the game led by amazing Frank Gaines but Olimpia Milano managed to bounce back thanks to Mike James and record a 98-91 home win on Day 24 of Italian League.
James banked 14 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter while also dishing seven assists. Kaleb Tarczewski helped with 17 in addition to Vladimir Micov’s 13 points.
For Cantu, Gaines put on a career-night nailing eight shots from deep on his way to 44 points while Gerry Blakes added 18 and Davon Jefferson 11 points.
Milano improved to 19-5 and stayed at the top of the standings while Cantu holds a 12-12 record and is still chasing a playoff spot.
