Avellino finished the game strong for a 2-1 lead over Milano while Sassari is the first team to advance to the Italian League semifinals after sweeping Brindisi 3-0

Avellino gambled away an early 21-7 lead and was trailing in the fourth quarter but finished the game on an 11-4 run for a 69-62 home win over Olimpia Milano. With this win, Avellino leads 2-1 in the Italian League best-of-five quarterfinal series.

Ariel Filloy scored 16 points for Avellino followed by Demonte Harper and Ike Udanoh’s 14 points each. On the other side, Andrea Cinciarini scored 12 in addition to Curtis Jerrells and Kaleb Tarczewski’s ten points each while the latter also added 12 boards.

Sassari managed to hold off Brindisi for a 92-87 road win as they complete the 3-0 sweep and advance to the semifinals.

Cooley scored 20 points on 9-12 shooting while grabbing nine boards while Rashawn Thomas added 18 points for the victors. For Brindisi, Adrian Banks nailed 25 in addition to Tony Gaffney’s 16 points.
