Dinamo Sassari can sweep Olimpia Milano in the next game.

Dinamo Sassari beat Olimpia Milano 112 – 102 in overtime of Game 2 of the Italian League semifinals to take a 2-0 lead in the series. The 2019 FIBA Europe Cup champions are one win away from the Finals and host Game 3 Sunday (2/6).

It was Dyshawn Pierre that forced the extra period with a 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining to cap a comeback from 12 points down for Sassari. The Sardinian side trailed 86 – 74 two minutes into the fourth period.

Milano failed to make a game-winning attempt in the next possession and in overtime, Sassari dominated.

Pierre finished with 21 points and grabbed six rebounds while Achille Pollonara scored a team-high 29 points and got six boards as well. Rashawn Thomas grabbed 17 rebounds to pair with his 14 points.

Mike James dropped a game-high 32 (1/6 2-pointers, 8/12 3-pointers) points for Milano. Vladimir Micov added 21 points and James Nunnally 17.
