Vanoli Cremona made the most out of its home court in Game 2 to even the semifinals.

Thanks to a superb defensive effort in the fourth period, Vanoli Cremona defeated Reyer Venezia 78 – 72 in Game 2 of the Italian League semifinals to tie the series 1-1.

Cremona held its opponents to just 12 points in the last quarter of the match to get the win after trailing 60 – 62 with ten minutes remaining. Venezia had scored 25 in the third period.

Wesley Saunders (18 points, six rebounds), Travis Diener (14 points), Mathiang Mangok (11 points, nine rebounds) and Drew Crawford (11 points) were the top contributors for the winning squad.

For Venezia, Michell Watt scored 17 points, Austin Daye 14, Marquez Haynes 13 and Mike Bramos 12. Venezia hosts Game 3 Monday (3/6).
