After playing with Serbia in the first games of the 2022 EuroBasket Qualifiers, Miroslav Raduljica won’t be able to be with the national team in the upcoming matches for November’s Window.

The reason? Raduljica will have to enter a 14-day quarantine when he returns to China – where he currently plays with the Zhejiang Lions- something that will affect his form and force him to remain sidelined with the Chinese League underway.

“The Chinese League will take a break of one month during the Window,” Raduljica said in an interview for Mozzart Sport. “However, the problem would be upon the return: A two-week quarantine after entering China and you know what this brings in the middle of the season. A break from any serious physical activities, missing games for the team, having to find your rhythm again.”

Raduljica had previously made the travel from China to join his national team four times halfway through seasons, apart from this year’s Qualifiers. This time though, the coronavirus crisis will keep him away from the “Orlovi.”

“As always, I had the desire to come and play for the national team. I talked to the coach (Igor Kokoskov). But the health situation in the world creates great restrictions when traveling,” Raduljica said.

Serbian national team captain Milos Teodosic will also be absent due to the fact that the Serbian Federation is unable to cover his insurance on his contract with Virtus Bologna.
