Partizan head coach Aleksandar Matovic is the new member of Igor Kokoskov’s technical staff in the Serbian national team, as reported by mozzartsport.com.

Per the report, the 43-year-old coach will be in charge of the individual workouts of the Serbian NT members, as the squad has started its preparations for the Olympic Qualification tournament in late June.

Serbia will compete in the FIBA ​​Olympic qualifying tournament from June 29 to July 4, where they will fight for a ticket to Tokyo’s Olympics. The tournament will be held in Belgrade, in the Aleksandar Nikolic hall and will also feature the national teams of Italy, Puerto Rico, Senegal, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic.

Among the names called in Kokoskov’s preliminary roster is 2021 NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, 2021 EuroLeague MVP Vasilije Micic, as well as Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nemanja Bjelica.
