The Greek forward is unlikely to join the national team after experiencing pain in his right knee

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

Ioannis Papapetrou is facing pain in his right knee and his participation in the Greek national team for the upcoming Olympic Qualifying Tournament is doubtful as of right now.

Papapetrou has been experiencing this issue throughout the season with Panathinaikos and though it’s not as grave, his condition will be examined once again within the week, to determine whether or not he will be joining Rick Pitino’s squad for the Qualifying Tournament.

Prior to heading to Canada to chase a ticket for Tokyo’s Olympics, Greece will host Serbia, Mexico and Puerto Rico in the upcoming “Acropolis” Tournament (18-20/6) in Athens.

Greece plays in Group A of the qualifiers, which also includes hosts Canada and China.
