The Turkish Basketball Federation updated the preliminary roster of the national team for the upcoming EuroBasket and the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers by reducing the number of players from 24 to 19 and keeping Shane Larkin as the naturalized player over Scottie Wilbekin.

All other major stars, including NBAers Cedi Osman, Furkan Korkmaz, Alperen Sengun and Omer Yurtseven, are included on the list.

The full roster is as follows:

Alperen Sengun, Berk Ugurlu, Bugrahan Tuncer, Cedi Osman, Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Egehan Arna, Furkan Haltali, Furkan Korkmaz, Kartal Ozmizrak, Melih Mahmutoglu, Mtetecan Birsen, Muhsin Yasar, Onuralp Bitim, Omer Faruk Yurtseven, Sadik Emir Kabaca, Sertac Sanli, Shane Larkin, Sehmus Hazer and Yigitcan Saybir.

TBF had previously named 24 players in the preliminary squad, including Larkin and Wilbekin as options for the sole available position of naturalized player. Larkin made the new roster, as he’s expected to join Turkey in the EuroBasket and compete in the tournament for the first time in his career.

Turkey will be facing Montenegro, Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain and host Georgia in Group A of the EuroBasket. The four teams with the best record in each Group will advance to the knockout stages that will be held in Berlin, Germany.

In the World Cup Qualifiers, Turkey will play against Latvia on the road and Serbia at home on 25 and 28 of August respectively.
