One day after the statements of Turkish national team coach Ergin Ataman about Omer Yurtseven, the rest of the Turkish young NBA stars took matters into their hands for an easy 96-70 win prep win over Ukraine in Istanbul.

Cedi Osman scored 17 points, Alperen Sengun had 15 and Furkan Korkmaz added 14 in a game which was ended from the first half.

Artem Pustovyi with 16 points and 12 rebounds tried his best for the losing side, Svi Mykhailiuk added 12 points and Alex Len who traveled with the team, didn’t play.

Ukraine will face Poland tomorrow, while everyone expects the game of Slovenia against Turkey and the first prep game appearances of Luka Doncic, also in Istanbul.

As Ataman said: “Of course, tomorrow night’s match against Slovenia will be much more difficult. Slovenia is ranked as the #1 favorite of EuroBasket by FIBA. They also have a star like Doncic. Tomorrow’s match will be another test for us. Still, my players fought very well today. The only thing I didn’t like about today was the empty seats in the gym and I hope the fans will come and give us the energy needed”.
