After beating the Auburn Tigers in Tel Aviv (95-86), Israel got also the win in Tbilisi, against Georgia. Despite not having Deni Avdija available due to illness, the Israelis got the 104-96 win with Roman Sorkin, Yam Madar (photo), and Tomer Ginat scoring 18 points each.

On the contrary, that was the third prep defeat for Georgia, which got 26 points by Toko Shengelia and 16 by Georgi Shermandini.

The two teams will meet tomorrow again behind closed doors and it’s unclear if Avdija who scored 25 points against Auburn will be available. Madar scored 24 points in that game for Israel.

For Georgia, Goga Bitagze has not played yet with the team, and Bucks Sandro Mamukelashvili added six points and four rebounds.

Georgia is hosting Group A of the upcoming Eurobasket which also includes Montenegro, Spain, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Belgium.

On the other hand, Israel will compete in Group D in Prague against the hosts Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, the Netherlands, and Finland.
